percussionist, drummer, Shamisen player and composer
He was born in 1974 and grew up playing the Shamisen (Japanese stringed musical instrument) and being taught singing by his father.
After graduating from the Kyoto Conservatoire of Music majoring in percussion, he joined Matsurishu, a high-profile professional Japanese drum group in Kyoto, Japan, and became a musical director.
Now he is a member of "Pro Musica Nipponia", a professional ensemble specializing in classical and modern Japanese music while being busy composing, performing and organizing many concerts with other professional groups.
He not only performs traditional Japanese music but also performs for classical orchestras, ensembles and chamber music groups.
As a percussionist and a Shamisen player he has been invited to perform in Germany, Austria, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Belgium.
